Loan periods

3 Weeks: Books, Audiobooks, Music CDs
2 Weeks: Video games
1 Week: DVDs, Magazines, Board games, HotSpots
3 Days: Some Reference materials

Loan periods for digital content from Overdrive or Hoopla vary by format and settings.

No late fines

Materials checked out at Thorntown Public Library do not accrue late fees after the due date. Overdue fines may occur if items are checked out at other Evergreen Indiana libraries.

A charge will occur if an item is never returned or is returned damaged, based on the item price. A $1.00 processing fee will also be added.
Credit card payments are accepted online via the online catalog.

Limits

Physical items: 100
- Max 10 movies/television shows
- Max 5 video games
Holds: 30
Digital check outs vary based on service. See what those limits are.

Renewals

Renewals are available for most items as long as there are no requests pending.
- 2 renewals: books, audiobooks
- 1 renewal: most everything else
Renewals are not automatic and require access to your online account or a call/visit to the library.
