On Tuesday, Dec. 31st, the library will close at 4:00 p.m. for New Year’s Eve and remain closed on January 1st for New Year’s Day. The library will open on Thursday, Jan. 2nd at 9:00 a.m.
The Boone County Barn Quilt Trail began in 2009 by the Sugar Creek Historical Society (sponsor of the Thorntown Heritage Museum) as a way to promote local tourism and honor quilters past and present. A very special thanks goes to Melissa Imbus for implementing this project.
This project would not have been possible without the many volunteers offering their services.
As you drive to different quilt sites, be sure to check out some of our wonderful shops and restaurants. In the Thorntown area, check out the Sugar Creek Art Center as well as the Thorntown Heritage Museum, Stookey’s Restaurant, the Lost Frontier Restaurant, Danny J’s Pizza, Wyld Roots, the Bargain Boutique, Framed Wright Art Gallery, Cynthia’s, Shives Antiques and the Kewasakee Trail for bikes and walking. You should also see Dull’s Tree Farm, especially during the Christmas season; they have many wonderful activities for families. Also check out the Court House square and businesses in downtown Lebanon, as well as the m any shops and restaurants in the village of Zionsville. Explore Boone County and enjoy the charm of our many communities!
